Preparing Students for Life
Challenging Minds, Forming Futures
At Notre Dame High School, we believe that academic excellence lays the foundation for a life of purpose, leadership, and service. Our rigorous college preparatory curriculum is designed to challenge students while supporting their individual strengths and aspirations.
A Well-Rounded College Prep Program
Students have access to honors and dual enrollment courses, providing a strong academic advantage before graduation. With two foreign language options and more than a dozen elective offerings, each student has the opportunity to tailor their education to their interests and goals.
As the first private high school in Louisiana to offer Ag in the Classroom, we proudly connect academics with real-world learning—equipping students with practical skills that benefit any career path while reinforcing the importance of agriculture in our region.
Exceptional Teachers, Individualized Attention
Our faculty brings an average of 14 years of classroom experience to Notre Dame, fostering a learning environment grounded in wisdom and care. With an average 12:1 student-teacher ratio, students receive the personalized support they need to thrive academically and personally.
Faculty members participate in professional development at least twice annually, along with ongoing training in their specific subject areas to ensure that instruction remains current and effective.
Technology-Enhanced Learning
Notre Dame is a 1:1 technology school. Each student is issued a Chromebook, and every classroom is equipped with a smart board. Technology is seamlessly integrated into our curriculum to enhance collaboration, creativity, and engagement across all grade levels.
Graduation Requirements & Accreditation
Notre Dame follows the academic standards of the Louisiana Department of Education. To earn a Notre Dame diploma, students must complete 27 credits over four years, averaging seven courses annually.
We are accredited by Cognia and are pursuing additional accreditation through Lumen Accreditation for Catholic Schools, further strengthening our commitment to faith-based academic excellence.
Lifelong Impact
The true measure of our academic program is seen in the success of our alumni—entrepreneurs, professionals, public servants, elected officials, and religious leaders—who continue to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
