Preparing for the Next Generation of Pioneers
Moving Forward in Faith and Excellence: Vitality Project Implementation Underway
In the fall of 2024, Notre Dame High School began a strategic visioning project focusing on the future of the school. Through interviews with stakeholders, public listening sessions, and an interactive summit, hundreds of parents, alumni and supporters of our school participated in the process. Together, participants explored tactics and strategies to strengthen four key areas of opportunity:
- Catholic Identity and Engagement
- Academic Achievement and Opportunity
- Facility Improvements
- Leadership and Operations.
After thoughtful discussion and collaborative small-group sessions, attendees voted to identify and prioritize the most critical next steps for growth. From this summit, the following priorities emerged to guide our ongoing efforts:
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that prioritizes teacher and student excellence, accountability, and engagement in a Catholic-centered setting.
- Formulate and implement processes that ensure operational efficiency, transparency, and communication aligned with our mission and Catholic values.
- Expand curriculum development to support academic growth and new opportunities for all students.
- Create and manage a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan to meet the current and future needs of our school community.
Turning Vision into Action
Since the summit, the administration and staff have made significant progress in bringing these priorities to life. Key initiatives already underway include:
- Transition to FACTS Financial for tuition and incidental payments.
- Implementation of an online ticketing system for school events.
- Updates to the Student Handbook to reflect current expectations and policies.
- Website improvements to make information more accessible for families and the community.
- Expanded use of technology for internal communications to improve efficiency.
- Enhanced faculty in-service and training to align classroom expectations across subjects.
- Collaboration with feeder school administrators to strengthen curriculum continuity, retention, and recruitment.
- Strategic recruitment of new faculty and coaching staff to meet academic and athletic goals.
- Facility improvements, including a refresh of the North Wing.
- Launch of a new robotics program to expand STEM opportunities.
Next Steps: Building for the Future
As part of the next phase of implementation, Notre Dame is preparing to:
- Move forward with the development of a Master Facilities Plan to guide future growth and campus improvements.
- Engage a third-party accounting firm to enhance financial reporting and promote transparency across all operations.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to long-term sustainability and to ensuring that every decision supports our mission to educate students in mind, body, and soul.
At Notre Dame High School, vitality is not just a goal—it’s a shared journey. We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our parents, alumni, and friends as we work together to strengthen the foundation for future generations of Pioneers.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers, participation, and partnership in this transformative process!
