Notre Dame Announces Honor Graduates for the Class of 2026

Notre Dame High School celebrated mass and baccalaureate ceremonies for 80 graduates on Friday, May 15, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point. 

The top seven graduates receiving Summa Cum Laude honors for excelling exclusively in the Honors curriculum with a 4.0 GPA, designated by a gold trim on their stole, were:  Emily Elise Abshire, daughter of Kelly Abshire and Jason Abshire; Anna Jane Hunt, daughter of Jared and Kelly Hunt; Claire Alysse Mouton, daughter of Constance Roy; Ashton Parker Orillion, son of James and Rebecca Orillion; Maksim Paul Scarborough, son of Carly Leleux and Brice Scarborough; Bella Grace Smith, daughter of Ryan and Calli Smith; and Alyson Ann Teare, daughter of Timothy and Monica Teare.


Magna Cum Laude graduates receiving white stoles for attaining a 3.70 – 4.00 GPA with at least 12 honors classes were Mary Claire Braham, Alice-Ann Frances Dorr, Mia Lynn Hazlett, Gillian Therese Hensgens, Mia Marie Hoffpauir, Ava Marie Istre, Garrett Michael Joseph, Emily Claire Murray, Eli Mark Pommier, Amelia Grace Prevost, Ellen Claire Richard, and Liam James Scarborough. Cum Laude graduates receiving blue stoles for attaining a 3.70 - 4.00 GPA with fewer than 12 honors classes are Hannah Clare Bearb, Lydia Marie Boudreaux, Valerie Jane Brown, Griffin Moise Doucet, Anna Catherine Francis, Lillian Paige Guidry, Haleigh Monique Melancon, Isabella Ann Trahan, Natalie Elise Trahan, and Isabella Ryane Wimberley. Scholar Honors graduates receiving gray stoles for attaining 3.5 – 3.699 GPA in college bound or honors classes are Hayden Armand Bergeaux, Emilee Marie Bergeron, Noelle Elizabeth Dorr, Ellis Jane Gray, Alyson Claire Hebert, Maxwell James Herbert, Noah Chris Hoffpauir, and Ava Elise Yates.


American Legion Awards were presented by Mr. Mike Stefanski of Post 15, to Ashton Parker Orillion and Anna Jane Hunt. Fr. Brent Smith, Vicar Foraine of the West Deanery and Chancellor of Notre Dame, presented the Catholic Action Awards to Mary Claire Braham and Austin Richard.

The Senior address was delivered by honor graduate, Anna Jane Hunt. Anna addressed Our Lady and her role in our school, referencing the many opportunities to grow in faith and closing with a reminder that God has all the answers if we only trust in Him.
